"Far Cry 5" is looking to take players away from their comfort zones, as the upcoming sequel to the franchise will feature testicle roasting, which was explained by the developers.

"Far Cry 5" executive producer Dan Hay, is proud to admit that the side quests in the upcoming outlandish first-person shooter (FPS) are outrageously unique. One that stood out during the journalist demo for the game was the mission where players had to collect bull's testicles for a backwater town festival called "Testy Festy." The said festival was a culinary celebration and required the fresh family jewels of a healthy bull.

"It's exactly what you imagine. The game is so big, and we want to make it so that you have a whole bunch of different experiences. So that one minute you have something that's poignant, and the next minute you have something that's crazy, and that it's always surprising," said Hay in an interview. Hay also claimed that the key to Testy Festy is similar to that of a Tinder date, where one has to inject just the right amount of charm to make things weird and wonderful.

This made the side-quest a lot more bizarre than a "Far Cry" title usually offers. The last one, "Far Cry: Primal" involved a prehistoric adventure and was quite serious in tone. The only thing that came close to how ridiculous "Far Cry 5" is right now was "Far Cry 3," which sees a frat boy getting involved in a pirate and mercenary operation in a tropical island full of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Meanwhile, Hay has assured fans that some of the main story missions in "Far Cry 5" will be as exciting or just as wacky as the side missions, though the testicle hunting missions were important for variety, meaning most main story missions could have serious overtones. The developers were clearly not shying away from experimentation, as is the trademark of the "Far Cry" franchise.

Players will find out just how insane the game can be once it gets released on March 27, 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
