The popular first person shooter video game series "Far Cry" is on its way to a fifth game. What is different this time around is that it is getting a localization in Arabic, which is the first time for a "Far Cry" game. Developers at Ubisoft are looking to extend their reach in terms of the game's relatability.

In a report by PC Games N, Arabic localization will be affecting the menus and the subtitles of the upcoming game. The news was confirmed in a tweet by the game's Public Relations and Digital Media Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, Malek Teffaha. He described it as a "Monumental day." The accuracy of the translations was commended by Rami Ismail, who is an independent video game developer of Arabic descent.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the move by developers Ubisoft is an effective way to expand their reach across the globe by breaking language barriers. It is quite certain at this point that the feature could enlighten other video game companies to start making titles with the same features in order to open the minds of Arabs towards more types of titles.

The Middle East has been neglected in the past when it comes to video games. This is largely in part due to concerns regarding piracy and conflicting social and cultural values that are usually depicted in conventional video games. These esoteric factors are most especially sensitive when video games are violent in nature, and could potentially stir some controversy between parties.

In other news, Game Industry reported that a novel titled "Far Cry Absolution" will be released ahead of the "Far Cry 5" video game. The book's purpose is to give fans of the franchise a closer look at the lore and the story of the game. It is scheduled to be released on Feb. 13, 2018, and will be distributed by Simon & Schuster in America and in Canada. The book is written by Urban Waite, and will sell for about $9.99.

"Far Cry 5" is scheduled to be released globally on Feb. 27, 2018 on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC.
