'Far Cry 5' Season Pass features, gameplay latest news: Zombies, spiders on Mars, history in Vietnam

"Far Cry 5" is more than two months away but developers Ubisoft has already revealed their plans for the Season Pass for the game. Getting it will bring players back in history to fight against the Viet Cong, up and away in outer space against Martian arachnids, and into a world where a Zombie apocalypse is imminent.

Usually, downloadable contents (DLCs) would be added on to the main game but it looks like Ubisoft has went to different multiple directions with the first three pieces being nowhere near Hope County, Montana. Aside from these three, players will also get a updated version of "Far Cry 3," the "Classic Edition."

"Dead Lying Zombies" are not actually lying as they will definitely be chasing players around and note that these are hordes of zombies. "Hours of Darkness" brings players back into the past where they are up against the Viet Cong. Last but not the least, "Lost on Mars" will need players to blast out some weird Martian spiders.

The "Far Cry 3: Classic Edition" is actually a remaster of the original game. People who do not purchase the season pass can still get this as a standalone purchase. Those with the season pass will get it a whole month ahead of the normal release.

While it does seem weird for the first "Far Cry 5" DLCs to be this way, Ubisoft surely has plans for more future DLCs. This one looks like more of a tribute to the expansion of "Far Cry 3," the "Blood Dragon" which was a cyberpunk adventure that was not exactly related to the game.

Those interested in the "Far Cry 5" season pass can now get it for $89.99, which will also give them a gold version of the game. Those who want to get a physical copy can do so also by paying $99.99 instead. "Far Cry 5" is due on Mar. 27, 2018.
