'Fargo' season 2 spoilers: Peggy and Ed think about their fate after butcher shop closes in episode 6

FX

Things seem to be more complicated for Peggy (Kirsten Dunst) and Ed Blumquist (Jesse Plemons) after the events that happened in the previous episode of "Fargo" season 2.

In episode 5 titled "The Gift of the Magi," Peggy urged her husband to leave Luverne, Minnesota to move to California to escape their crime. But Ed haS no intention of leaving and said that they have to deal with whatever is in store for them after accidentally killing Rye Gerhardt (Kieran Culkin), a member of a notorious organized crime family.

Peggy decided to go on with her plans to move to another state even if Ed decided to stay. But on the way to California, the ambitious beautician had a change of heart and chose to return. She even sold her car to help Ed buy the butcher shop where he is currently working, but her sacrifice might go to waste after the shop caught fire.

But in the upcoming episode titled "Rhinoceros," the couple will defend their own decisions. But did they really make the right choice?

Meanwhile, the synopsis reveals that the Gerhardts want to rescue one of their family members in the upcoming episode of "Fargo" season 2.

Previously, Charlie Gerhardt (Allan Dobrescu) decided to head to Luverne from Fargo, North Dakota to avenge the death of his uncle Rye. He went with their family fixer Virgil to look for Ed. But instead of killing his uncle's killer, Charlie got a little off track when he fell in love when he met Ed's co-worker Noreen Vanderslice (Emily Haine).

Chaos happened when Charlie and Virgil tried to attack Ed, and the butcher slammed a cleaver through Virgil's skull. While trying to escape the fire, Ed and Noreen saved him from being burned at the shop by dragging him. But Charlie's family will not let him get hurt without giving a fight. Will the Gerhardts manage to get him out of Luverne alive?

"Fargo" season 2 episode 6 airs on Monday, Nov. 16, on FX.
