The first season of "Fargo" earned a lot of praises from viewers and now the TV series is headed to renew for a second season to cater to its fan base.

The second installment is said to feature a fresh mystery "somewhere in the midwest," as reported by The Verge.

FX has been so good at getting fans of "Fargo" all excited for a brand new season. The network has recently released the season trailer, which was found to be lengthier compared to its sneak peeks.

The trailer lasts for two and a half minutes, according to TheDigitalTrends, and fans may see it as filled with details of the story.

IBTimes reported that the two-minute trailer shows Patrick Wilson first, as the younger version of Lou Solverson, who was previously played by Keith Carradine.

With Ted Danson, playing as Solverson's partner Sheriff Hank Larrson, making an entrance into the Waffle Hut, the two cops discovered a "disturbing murder scene."

Things are bound to get bigger as the new season hits the TV screens.

Other than murder mysteries, the brand new season will also put emphasis on the story of Kirsten Dunst's character, Peggy Blomquist, who appears to want to explore more in life and have big expectations.

There's also the character of Kieran Culkin, who is wanted for several crimes.

Other than the plot details, the trailer also revealed that the second season will be star-studded.

Aside from Wilson, Danson, Culkin and Danst, "Fargo" fans will also get to see Jess Plemons, Brad Garrett, Jean Smart, and Bokeem Woodbine, as reported in CinemaBlend.

"Fargo" Season 2 will follow the story of Solverson, who has just returned from Vietnam and is investigating crime syndicates, while being assigned the task to protect Ronald Reegan (Bruce Campbell), when he made his stop in Fargo for a campaign, E! Online's TV Scoop noted.

"Fargo" Season 2 will be back on TV this October.
