"Fast and Furious" is undoubtedly a popular movie franchise that garnered millions of fans around the world. However, upon the tragic death of one of its lead stars, Paul Walker, the production should step up to find another star that should make the movie equally or more interesting.

Rumor has it that Angelina Jolie is being considered to fill in the gap that Walker had left behind.

This news may have come from the fact that actress Michelle Rodriguez herself expressed her wish for Jolie to appear in the upcoming movie.

In an interview with ET Online, Rodriguez shared how she dreamed of having Jolie as her co-star and she highlighted that she doesn't want the 40-year-old "Maleficent" actress to be featured as an enemy.

"Let's stop hitting each other and let's stop fighting each other, and let's start getting together and ganging up on people," Rodriguez said in the interview.

Jolie is just one of the names being linked to "Fast & Furious 8." She is joined by "Orange is the New Black" actress Ruby Rose and Dame Helen Mirren.

Mirren appeared in the action film "RED" alongside Bruce Willis and she played a badass female character. She should do great in a movie like "Fast & Furious." Besides, the dame herself is open about her desire to be part of the production.

"I've always wanted to be in a Fast and Furious movie but they've never asked me," Mirren revealed. "I don't understand why!" Mirren told ET during the premiere of her movie "Woman in Gold" in New York last March.

On the other hand, Australian native Rose has reportedly been considered for an important role in "Furious 8." However, rumors say that she has been turned down becaus she looks like Justin Bieber.

Whether or not Rose will join the show remains to be seen. Meanwhile, what's certain is that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will surely appear in "Furious 8."

It has been confirmed by the actor himself, and what's more interesting, Johnson hinted that there could be a possible spinoff to his character Luke Hobbs.

"Fast and Furious 8" is slated to arrive in theaters in April 2017.
