There is no stopping the legendary "Fast and Furious" franchise from growing. "Furious 7," the latest installment in the series, has already scooped up more than $1 billion from across the globe, and Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and the gang will not hit the brakes just yet.

During CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Diesel confirmed that the next film in the lineup, which he referred to as "Fast and Furious 8," will come out on April 14, 2017, and he promised that it will be "the best movie you've ever seen." With the success of "Furious 7," this bold statement is saying something.

During his moment onstage, Diesel did not forget to mention his late friend and co-star Paul Walker as he recalled the time he was on the same stage with the actor two years back. He also made sure to make his fans feel loved, attributing the success of the film to their everlasting ardor.

"There is something you all did. For me, personally, you all gave me so much confidence. There was so much love. You made me feel like we could actually make history with Furious Seven," Diesel said, as quoted by Mashable. "You've been so loyal all along. Because there's a pride that you have that we feel, the people that make the movie, the studio that I call my home, my family. You make us feel like we want to give you the best move in the world to share with you."

The announcement of "Fast and Furious 8," whose title is believed to be tentative, is not at all a shocker. With the immense success of the latest "Furious" film, Universal had to make another one. But more than that, it was also revealed that there will be 10 "Fast and Furious" movies, meaning more of these action-packed films that send cars twirling in the air are well on the horizon.
