"Fear the Walking Dead" star Cliff Curtis, who plays main lead character Travis Manawa, recently sat down for an interview with Collider and revealed a few details surrounding season 2, which is scheduled to release in 2016, particularly how Travis will deal with the world and walkers in general after learning what they are in season 1.

"I think Travis is definitely going to have a shift in his priorities and his ideas about what is correct and right," he said. "His value system is being challenged deeply right now. At the same time, I think you'll see him be a lot more resilient than you'd expect and a lot tougher. He's not going to give up his belief in humanity and all that is good that easily."

Curtis also explained that Travis doesn't believe in mindless action and elaborates that he is the kind of character that will always try to find a way instead of resorting to blunt violence. This plot point also became an issue in season 1 due to Travis failing to killing walkers despite already knowing what they are and what they're capable of.

In the interview, Curtis also confirmed that season 2 will not reveal how the zombie outbreak occurred, a point repeatedly stated by "The Walking Dead" creator Robert Kirkman. However, Curtis did mention he is not comfortable with this and that he has his own theory as to how the outbreak began.

According to Curtis, it may be possible that the human body may have grown too accustomed to the numerous vaccines and immunizations in the medical world to a point where the immunizations simply won't let the body die, thereby creating a walking corpse.

Speaking to MTV, Curtis also mentioned that there is a possibility of Travis eventually taking over as the group's leader in season 2; however, he does explain that the plans AMC and the showrunners have cannot be executed over night and that these changes to Travis's personality may evolve over the course of the series.

"Fear the Walking Dead" will return in 2016.
