The short freshman season of "Fear the Walking Dead" is closed. The apocalypse has taken over, which drove the remaining people uninfected by the epidemic to flee to the seas in a "badass" yacht as seen in a preview of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2.

"First of all, getting to the yacht is going to be something of a challenge. And then the question becomes: Once we get to it, which way is it going to go? And we will discover that we were not the only ones with this bright idea," executive producer Dave Erickson told Entertainment Weekly.

He also promised that in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, there will be plenty of "seabound refugees," who will be working to protect what's theirs. Erickson added that apart from zombies,human threats will also be explored.

Erickson also revealed in a clip previewing the new season that the series is moving on to exploring the family drama this time through the zombie apocalypse at top gear. "They are starting to understand how it is about not to die," he said.

He added that in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, there is the question of whether or not Travis and Madison will "remain true to themselves" and be able to stay together as they continue to live in a world where they fight for their safety that is no longer guaranteed.

Nick, meanwhile, is looking for "salvation." Being a drug addict for years and now confronted by the apocalypse, he would need to put himself together if he wants to survive and help his loved ones survive.

In "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, Alicia still struggles with the fact that everything she has dreamt of becoming will no longer be possible. Either her future will be cut short or it will be made up of finding means to stay alive.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2, which will be lengthier with 15 episodes, will premiere next year.
