The undead is just starting to take over and the growing number of zombies will send the people of Los Angeles to the waters in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2. Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comics the show is based on, promises "some zombie water action" in the new season.

Kirkman also quashed some fans' worries about Travis and the gang staying in the water in the entirety of the season. "Just because it takes place on the boat doesn't mean they'll be on the boat all the time," he said during the New York Comic Con (via IGN). "It will be a seafaring adventure," he added.

One thing that Kirkman wants to prove to viewers in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is that the ocean doesn't really offer the protection they seek. It also seems that the flesh eaters won't be the only threat to face. He also promised that the next episodes of the spinoff will show "how a regular person like Travis would react" to life and death situations such as this.

Meanwhile, a new promo for the upcoming season has been released. There, executive producer Dave Erickson talked about the developments of the show in terms of storytelling. He said that the freshman run told the apocalypse through the protagonist family. Now, this same family drama will be explored through the epidemic.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will see what Travis and Madison are prepared to do in the midst of a rapidly changing world. With everything becoming horrible and deadly in a snap, , the season will explore how far their humanity will last in this battle for survival.

In the season finale of the six-episode first season, Travis was forced to shoot his ex-wife Lisa while Daniel had to shoot his wife Ofelia. What other unthinkable things the protagonists will have to do to survive? "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 should answer that next year.
