'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2: Nick undergoes significant changes

Alicia and Nick as seen in Fear the Walking DeadAMC

The first person in "Fear the Walking Dead" to realize zombies were walking about was Nick Clark (Frank Dillane). However, the character suffered from drug addiction and this brought upon several problems in the show's first season. According to a report from Melty, it is likely that all this will change in season 2.

By the time season 1 ended, Nick had proved he had a strong relationship with his sister Alicia (Alycia-Debnam Carey). She was the only one who understood his addiction and was the one who put up with his bad habits. However, the report points out that in season 2, Nick and Alicia's relationship may turn for the worst.

Alicia was portrayed as a character who had a lot to look forward to but all her plans for her future life crumbled once the zombie apocalypse began taking over the world. It is suggested that by season 2 she will be suffering from a shorter temper and she may end up severing her close connection to her brother.

Nick also formed a strong bond with the character Strand (Colman Domingo). Victor Strand was in fact the one responsible for saving the main cast by bringing them to his luxury home. Strand also suggests that they retreat to his yacht, Abigail, which is going to be the primary setting for season 2.

According to the report, there is bound to be a moment in the season that will put Strand and Nick against the rest of the crew, possibly making Nick choose between the man he has bonded with as a savior and friend and his family.

It is also explained that Nick may finally begin quitting drugs and slowly undergo the process of cleansing his body while also fighting the issues of withdrawal. The world is no longer functioning by the time season 2 rolls in and he will be forced to live without his hobby.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 is expected to release sometime in late June or July.
