'Fear the Walking Dead' season 3 spoilers: Daniel comes back; Madison's reunion with Nick teased

With the group more broken than they ever were moving into "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3, there is no better time for Daniel Salazar (Ruben Blades) to show himself.

The character's fate is still being kept under wraps since he seemingly allowed himself to burn to death in a house on fire where he saw a glimpse of his dead wife.

Daniel was a no-show for the entire season after what happened, but it appears that "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 will be much different for the character.

"For us, Daniel is still in the world, and it's important that the characters think he's gone, but there's always a chance that he might reemerge," executive producer Dave Erickson told Entertainment Weekly.

It looks like Daniel is very much alive. Whatever he has been doing after the last time fans saw him will be interesting to find out, hopefully in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3.

Meanwhile, it is looking like Madison (Kim Dickens) and Nick (Frank Dillane) will be reunited soon. The former has been with Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) while the latter has tread the brave new world with Luciana (Danay Garcia).

"In terms of narrative direction in season 3, we are putting our characters on a collision course, ultimately. And I think a lot of those threads will start to come together," Erickson promised.

He said that Madison and Nick will "hopefully" find each other again as "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 circles back to the familial storylines that it is known for.

He also said that the new season will be set mostly in the north and south of the border. The refugee camp that Nick and Luciana apparently found last season might be seen in the flesh in "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 as well.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 will premiere next year on AMC.
