Fergie recently opened up about her drug addiction that had taken a toll on her health and admitted that the experience was an eye-opener for her.

The former Black Eyed Peas band member promoted her album and had shared her journey with drug addiction in an interview with iNews, saying that she had a hard time dealing with her addiction to crystal meth prior the days she became famous with the band.

"At my lowest point, I was [suffering from] chemically induced psychosis and dementia. I was hallucinating on a daily basis," she revealed. Fergie then said that it eventually got worse, up to the point when she thought that government authorities, such as the FBI, were hunting her down.

She sought help from the church, which Fergie said was probably because she was raised as a Catholic. The "Big Girls Don't Cry" singer then went on to tell that she turned chaotic inside the church as she thought that there were infrared cameras that were tracking her.

She had gotten the wake-up call after running outside the church and found no SWAT team waiting for her and concluded that it was the chemical that had been doing that to her. "The drugs thing, it was a hell of a lot of fun... until it wasn't. But you know what, I thank the day it happened to me. Because that's my strength, my faith, my hope for something better," Fergie continued.

Even with her experience, Fergie was never known to be shy about this point of her life. She had also touched the Josh Duhamel topic during the interview, where she revealed that FaceTime had been a huge part of communication in the family.

Fergie also explained that she was proud of her ex, Duhamel, who had been venturing out to directing. The singer and Duhamel announced in September that they were calling it quits. They share a 4-year-old son, Axl.
