The announcement made on May 28 about the release of "FIFA 16" earned a mix of reactions from gamers because of some of the game's new developments.

EA Games announced that the next installment in the "FIFA" football simulation video game series will be available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on Sept. 22. However, the developer/ publisher did not mention if the game will also have Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Wii U versions, or if the game will come out for mobile consoles.

A representative from EA talked to Pocket Gamer to discuss the game release announcement, saying: "With regards to FIFA 16 there isn't a Vita or 3DS version. We don't have any further detail on the mobile version but will be sure to share with you when we hear more." 

However, the representative did not provide any further details why EA decided not to offer the game on the mobile consoles, and did not discuss why the Wii and Wii U were omitted in the list of versions. This will be the first time that a "FIFA" game will not be playable on the Nintendo Wii console since the game came out, but Nintendo Wii U is also missing in the list of consoles that offers "FIFA 15."

On the other hand, EA finally decided to include 12 Women's National Teams in the new "FIFA" video game title. The list now consists of teams from the USA, Mexico, England, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Italy, China, Australia, and Canada.

While some were thrilled to see their favorite female athletes in the new installment of the game, Lazygamer reported that there was an influx of angry reactions from those who are not pleased to see women in a man-centric game. But EA Games boss Peter Moore expressed his thoughts on Twitter about those who were posting angry opinions about including the women's teams in "FIFA 16."

"So sad to see the misogynistic vitriol following @EASPORTSFIFA announce re. women in the game. We are better than this," Moore tweeted.
