'FIFA 17' release date news: 50 top players to be revealed before Sept. 29 debut

Game developer and publisher Electronic Arts has started to reveal the top 50 players included in its "FIFA 17." Thirty players have already been named and the next 20 will be shown in the next few weeks until it is released on Sept. 29.

The game's official website has already published players ranked 50-31. At rank 50 is Blaise Matuidi of Paris Saint-Germain, with rated 79 for pace, 67 for shooting, 78 for passing and 76 for dribbling. As of this moment, David Silva is the only player from the Manchester City football club to be listed. He is rated at 68 for pace, 72 for shooting, 87 for passing and 87 for dribbling. He is also sandwiched by James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema, both from the Real Madrid Spanish club.

EA also released a short video that showed the ratings of many players. Marcus Rashford's fans reacted negatively when the striker from Manchester United received a 76 rating. Supporters are campaigning that it should be increased, Machester Evening News reported.

Meanwhile, Goal reported that a demo will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One fans and will start on Sept. 12. However, no details was mentioned by EA on which team will be available but speculations suggest that Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus could be made available. Since this is a demo, fans are also advised not to expect too much. There will be no penalty shootouts and Ultimate Team mode will surely be disabled.

The game will also feature a story mode, titled "The Journey." Gamers will be able to play as Alex Hunter, a 17-year-old from Clapham and dreams of becoming a great football star. Players can choose from any of the 20 Premiere League clubs to start the mode.

"FIFA 17" will be released on Sept. 29 for the PlayStation 4. PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Fans can now pre-order the game in Standard, Deluxe and Super Deluxe Editions.
