The wait for the next FIFA sim game will soon be over, as numerous rumors claim that "FIFA 17" will come out in September.

Speculations claim that EA Sports will release the next installment of the long running "FIFA" video game series during the second quarter of the studio's fiscal year. This means that the game will come out sometime between July to September.

But according to a report from Christian Daily, the game will come out in September based on the past three "FIFA" games release date. However, the game studio has yet to confirm if the speculations are true.

Meanwhile, EA Sports CEO Andrew Wilson reportedly talked about the studio's plans for "FIFA 17" during their recently concluded Q4 earnings call. As reported by iDigital Times, Wilson said that the upcoming edition of "FIFA" video game will have "major leap forward in personalization, immersion and competition."

Though Wilson did not elaborate further about his statement, the report speculated that "FIFA 17" will come out with new teams, more career mode options, added teams to the national women's division, as well as an expanded training program.

On the other hand, fans of the game franchise are vocal about what they want to see in the upcoming "FIFA 17" game. According to Digital Spy, players would like the game to have an Online Career Mode, with at least a 2- to 4- player options.

Fans are also looking forward to see the return of the 5-a-sides or the Pub Leagues that were featured in 1997's "FIFA: Road to World Cup 98." They also want the game developers to fix the game's language settings and the return of the intentional foul and dive buttons that was included in the past installments of the game.

EA Sports is also expected to debut the game during the 2016 E3 event in Los Angeles in June.
