'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie spoilers: Trailer postponed until September

Fifty Shades of Grey

The filming of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" ended but the movie trailer has not appeared yet.

The film wrapped up in February but E.L. James and Universal Pictures has not updated the waiting fans as to when the steamy trailer of the much awaited movie adaptation of the bestseller "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be launched. Latest reports claimed that the trailer will be released not later than September.

Headlines and Global News cited the changes in Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) causing the delay in the release of the trailer. The changes include not allowing trailers to be shown more than five months before the movie is set to be released.

The film is set to hit the theatres on Feb. 13, 2015. As of now, this is still a rumor and fans were still hoping that the author and the producers will not wait until fall to release the trailer of the film.

In March, Universal Pictures teased fans with a five-minute clip of the upcoming film. However, it did not make a lot of impact as the clip showed more of the romance side of the film rather than the kinky side that fans and followers were all waiting for.

"Based on the roughly five minutes of footage Universal unveiled, the movie seemed far more tame than the steamy, S&M-heavy book it's based on. Though Anastasia was shown blindfolded, as well as being pushed up against a wall by Christian, the teaser featured very little sex," Los Angeles Times said in its piece about the CinemaCon.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is an adult novel that started as fan fiction on the Internet based on the "Twilight" series. The story revolved around the BDSM relationship of billionaire Christian Grey and virgin Anastacia Steele. The movie adaptation of the first book of the trilogy will star Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan starring as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.
