"Final Fantasy 7" is most probably one of the biggest video game stories created to date, not just in popularity but in size as well. The 1998 release of the game was cut up into three chapters because it was all too big to fit in one disc. The remake has the same dilemma as it is just as or possibly even bigger in size.

According to iDigital Times, the "Final Fantasy 7" remake could have as many as four parts.

IGN released a video comparing the visuals of the original PC version and the upcoming PlayStation 4 remake of the hit role-playing game "Final Fantasy VII," showing the vast upgrades that developers have made to the graphics of the game. This justifies how the remake cannot possibly be fitted into one chapter.

"Final Fantasy 7" is a role-playing video game developed and published by Square Enix. The story follows the adventures of Cloud Strife and his band of fighters as they try to save the world from the plans of main antagonist Sephiroth. The seventh instalment is arguably the biggest and most well acclaimed part of the "Final Fantasy" franchise.

Metacritic gives the game a score of 92 percent based on the reviews of 20 critics, and a audience score of 9.1 out of 10 based on 1,098 ratings.

Talking to Famitsu, Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura stated that there will be some changes to the game play and storyline of the remake of the hit game. "I can't get go into details but this is not a simple remake. Let's say for argument's sake that we only pretty up the graphics for current gen hardware, I don't think that would surpass the original version." Nomura said to Famitsu.

The "Final Fantasy 7" remake is rumoured to release sometime in 2017.
