The remake of the "Final Fantasy 7" game is said to be glorious on next-gen gaming systems, but it looks like Square Enix does not have any plans of releasing the game for the Nintendo NX.

According to Game N Guide, a compatibility with the Nintendo NX is not the only thing missing from this game. After all, aside from the trailer that featured the famous Shinra Corporation bombing mission intro sequence from the E3 2016, there has not really been much word about this game's remake.

Regardless of the lack of update, the game's director, Tetsuya Nomura confirms that the development of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake is still in progress. While there is still no scheduled launch date for the moment, the game will still be happening in the future. In an interview with the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Nomura added that at the moment they are just preparing the game for a big reveal, instead of giving fans small bits and pieces of information regularly.

"Final Fantasy 7" remake is expected to debut in episodes, as a homage to the original story. Fans believe that the upcoming big reveal will mainly focus on the definitive release date of the first episode of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake at the least, as well as a preview of what players will expect.

Meanwhile, it seems that the other "Final Fantasy" project, the "Final Fanasy XV," is confirmed to exclude Nintendo NX from its platforms of release as well. According to the University Herald, this fact is confirmed by the game's director, Hajime Tabata. That doesn't mean, however, that the possibility of this happening in the future is zero. As such, players should not rule out that possibility.

"Final Fantasy 7" still has no definite release date, but "Final Fantasy XV" is slated to be launched on Sept. 30.
