Square Enix announced a very special event happening to its mobile game "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" at the Brave Exvius Fan Festa world tour in Los Angeles. On Friday, Dec. 15, players can have Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VII" as an obtainable character.

Aside from the main character, a new festive holiday content is also coming to the free-to-play role-playing game. In fact, the video game company has revealed a trailer to unveil the things coming to the game.

"Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" update will bring in a new unit with "Final Fantasy VII" Strife through Featured and Rare Summons. Also, new trial boss, Glacial, will be coming. The power and icy enemy's coming in the Chamber of the Fallen, basically, fits the winter season.

The update also comes with three new holiday-themed characters -- Kryla, Christine, and Carrie. They will be joined later by White Knight Noel and Santa Rosalia from last year's holiday units. However, they will only appear for a limited amount of time and can only be had via the holiday Featured Summon.

Lastly, four heroes from "King's Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon" -- Rayjack, Kaliva, Barusa, and Toby, who also appeared in "Final Fantasy XV," will also join "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius." This update will be called King's Knight Collaboration.

For those who do not know, "Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" is a gacha game where players would collect different "Final Fantasy" universe's characters. The game has been keeping the turn-based combat that the "Final Fantasy" series is originally known for, added with a touch of retro art style. In fact, it is one of the most popular mobile games from the franchise.

"Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius" will roll out when Cloud goes live on Monday, Dec. 15. The game is now available for free download on App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App store.
