'Final Fantasy Explorers,' 'Lego Marvel's Avengers' among game titles coming in January 2016

January may not be the prime release window for video games, but that doesn't mean that next month will not have at least a few titles worth taking a closer look at.

The first one to take note of is the next installment of the Lego Marvel series known as "Lego Marvel's Avengers." The upcoming game will feature some of the comic book world's most popular figures as they help defend New York City from an onslaught of evil. 

"Lego Marvel's Avengers" is set to be launched on Jan. 26, 2016, according to iDigital Times. "Lego Marvel's Avengers" will be released for PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation 4 (PS4), Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, and Windows PC.

Next up on the list of video games looking to make a splash in January is "Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster." The new release is looking to lure in older gamers who still remember the original game from their younger days while also bringing in an all new audience seeking to find out more about the "Resident Evil" franchise.

"Resident Evil 0: HD Remaster" will be released for PS4 and Xbox One on Jan. 19, 2016. 

Another one of the eagerly anticipated January releases is "Final Fantasy Explorers." As The Verge pointed out, "Final Fantasy Explorers" is the result of taking some of the better aspects of the "Monster Hunter" games and placing them inside the familiar world of "Final Fantasy" games. 

It's an intriguing combination to have inside a video game, and interested players can get it when "Final Fantasy Explorers" is released on Jan. 26, 2016. "Final Fantasy Explorers" will be released for the Nintendo 3DS.

For players looking for a more unique gaming experience, they can try out "The Witness." The modern follow-up on "Myst" is expected to challenge players with a wide array of puzzles, while simultaneously charming them with its mysterious allure.

"The Witness" will be available for both the PS4 and the PC starting Jan. 26, 2016.
