'Final Fantasy XIV' update 4.25 release date news: Forbidden Land of Eureka patch to drop on March 13

Square Enix, developer of the famous MMORPG franchise "Final Fantasy" has announced a release date for the highly anticipated 4.25 update to the current installment, bringing in various new additions and enhancements into the already rich world of "Final Fantasy XIV."

In line with the announcement, the new update will be made available on March 13 for the PlayStation 4 and PC platform.

The new patch will bring users into the unknown Forbidden Land named Eureka -- a name inspired by the magical labyrinth of Allag, housing the most powerful of his weapons. In this new map, players are required to form a group and explore the dangerous land full of daring conquests.

In the update, players will now be able to gain elemental EXP and will be able to alter their affinities through the Magia Board. In terms of rewards, users will be occasionally gifted with protean crystal while wandering the lands of Eureka. Through these crystals, players will be able to enhance their weapons and gears with the help of Gerolt -- the Blacksmith.

This announcement also coincides with the start of Little Ladies' Day -- a seasonal campaign that will run from March 1 through March 14. In order to participate, players are required to be at least level 15. The event rewards will include three new emotes and furniture for your dwelling.

In other news, the update will also see the continuation of the clumsy Detective Hildibrand's adventures as he tries to capture the Wolf burglar whose been causing a large ruckus in Kugane.

The previous expansion for "Final Fantasy XIV," Rise of a New Sun, landed early this year in January.

The new patch for the "Final Fantasy XIV" will be made available to players on March 13 on the PlayStation 4 and PC platform.
