The latest entry in Square Enix's popular "Final Fantasy" series has proven to be a huge success since its launch last year. With this, the Japanese game studio promised the fans that they will see more fresh content coming in "Final Fantasy XV" until 2018. Game director Hajime Tabata himself confirmed that Square Enix will continue to support the title with brand new downloadable content (DLC) expansion packs.

At the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2017 presentation, Tabata revealed that Square Enix will provide more DLC packs for "Final Fantasy XV," given that the players have been demanding to see new content in the original game. As reported by Comic Book, fans can expect more add-on content coming up after the release of the latest "FFXV" episode titled "Ignis."

The upcoming "Final Fantasy XV" DLC add-ons are expected to continue the storyline of the main game, possibly extending the story arcs of the main characters such as Noctis. The latest "Ignis" chapter was thought to be the last addition in "Final Fantasy XV," as the episode wrapped up the storylines of Noctis and his teammates.

"Not only are we further investigating characters through additional episodes, if we don't convey the setting that is the foundation of the world, we won't be able to convey the characters' way of life," Tabata said.

In the coming weeks, Square Enix is expected to launch the next DLC game pack titled "Final Fantasy XV Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades." The title already suggests that the upcoming add-on will be quite different than the previous DLC releases, given that it is a multiplayer content. In this expansion set, "Comrades" will let the players assume the role of a royal police known as the Kingsglaive. They are expected to team up and fight the enemies that threaten to destroy the kingdom.

According to Engadget, the events in "Comrades" will take place after "Final Fantasy XV" chapter 13, so it is best for the players to finish that chapter first to avoid the DLC storyline spoiling the main game's plot. The multiplayer DLC will allow players to build a team of three members, each setting up their own personal avatar and taking on quests as a group or as solo players. "Comrades" DLC will go live starting on Oct. 31.

As for the future DLC packs, there are no exact release dates yet specified by Square Enix, although they are all expected to arrive until early 2018. These add-ons are likely to be included in "Final Fantasy XV" PC version, which is also expected to launch early next year.
