Regardless of the numerous delays for "Final Fantasy XV," fans are still hyped about the title due to its modern approach in virtually all of its aspects. The game features open world gameplay, and Square Enix's latest entry in the Final Fantasy franchise will have more action-RPG-like mechanics and themes.

According to Game Zone, it seems that in previous previews of the game none of the protagonists were using any modern weapons for battles. That is not the case anymore as the newest batch of the game's screenshots included in the article show that Noctis is able to use a variety of guns, with each long-range weapon having its own set of unique properties.

Silicon Era revealed that players will now be able to switch through the various available weapons in real-time during combat. The wide variety of weapons includes great swords, spears, and the recently introduced gun and machinery weapons. Characters can now have a much wider arsenal of armaments that can be switched as the situation demands.

The guns allow players to attack from a longer range. It is also worth noting that the player's ally, Prompto, is the specialist when it comes to these weapons.

Players can now play according to their gaming style as the guns are not limited to simple pistols. There are also rifles that allow extra long-range attacks, with some of them allowing the player to shoot using the "Snipe Mode" mechanic.

As for the machinery weapons, fans can remember that these were first introduced back in "Final Fantasy 6." These weapons can be pretty tricky for those who have no prior experience in using them, but utilizing them effectively can be rewarding as they provide players with a completely different means of attacking.

"Final Fantasy XV" is set to be released on November 20, 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
