"Final Fantasy XV's" system requirements for the PC version has finally been finalized. PC owners will be happy to hear that they will be able to play the game even if their system is modest.

Developer and publisher Square Enix has announced the game's minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC port. These are the required hardware configurations for PCs in order to be able to play the game.

The minimum hardware required for the game to run on PCs is an operating system (OS) of Windows 10 with DirectX 11 support, 8 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory (RAM), a central processing unit (CPU) of Intel Core i5-2400 running at 3.15 gigahertz (GHz) or an Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) FX-6100 running at 3.3 GHz, and a modest graphics processing unit (GPU) of NVIDIA GTX 760 or the equivalent AMD Radeon GPU.

The developers did not specify what these minimum settings will be able to handle in terms of the game's graphics settings and resolution.

As for the recommended system requirements, players will need Windows 10 with DirectX 11 support for the OS, 16 GB of RAM, a CPU of Intel Core i7-3770 running at 3.4 GHz or AMD FX-8350 running at 4.0 GHz, and finally, an NVIDIA GTX 1060 GPU or its AMD Radeon equivalent, which is usually the RX 480 or RX 580 GPU.

Likewise, the developers did not specify what the recommended hardware can handle in terms of graphics settings or resolution. However, it can be assumed by PC owners that the recommended settings will be able to handle maximum graphics settings at a resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p) since the GTX 1060 from NVIDIA has become the community standard for maximizing game graphics settings on the full high-definition (FHD) resolution (1080p).

The PC version for the game will also support 3840x2160 (4K) resolution and high-dynamic range (HDR) 10, but a combination of these two demanding features may require a GTX 1080 Ti from NVIDIA, and even that GPU will struggle with 60 frames per second (FPS) for the game.

No exact release date has been announced yet for the PC version of "Final Fantasy XV," but it is set to be released early in 2018.
