Although there is still no definite word on when it will release, "Final Fantasy XV" landed the second spot on the list of most wanted games. Meanwhile, publisher Square Enix revealed new details about the upcoming game.

According to Nintendo Everything, although the exact release date of the upcoming title has yet to be announced, "Final Fantasy XV" still ranks as one of the most-wanted games. It moved to the second spot, up from the last time that players were asked how much interest they have in upcoming games. "Final Fantasy XV" joins other titles such as "Monster Hunter X," "Persona 5," and another Square Enix iteration, "Kingdom Hearts III."

While "Final Fantasy XV" has always been one of the most anticipated game titles, it shot up in rankings largely based on new details that Square Enix releases every now and then, building up the hype for the upcoming title.

Crossmap reported that the pre-beta version of the upcoming title is now complete, which means that it is one step closer to its release date. In addition, some hints and teasers about the title's gameplay have surfaced.

Writing on the official "Final Fantasy" forum, lead game designer Prasertvithyakarn Prasert hinted that players will have the option to decide the battle styles, and hardcore fans may find it familiar. The combat for "Final Fantasy XV" will be similar to how the combat system was used in "Final Fantasy XII." However, there will also be subtle differences from the previous title's "Gambit System."

Meanwhile, aside from the hint, there were also speculations that tease the return of another familiar character. According to Yibada, game director Hajime Tabata is thinking of bringing back Stella, one of the original female leads in the series. However, the speculations remain unfounded, as it was already stated previously that "Final Fantasy XV" will have an all-male group as protagonists.
