'Final Fantasy XV' updates: Character names and voice actors leaked

Square-Enix

A report from Gameranx reveals that the IMDB page for "Final Fantasy XV" may have accidentally leaked several new characters and voice actors for the game. The list doesn't reveal the Western voice actors for lead character Noctis and his crew but instead showcase several characters that have yet to be revealed to the public.

DC Douglas, known for his work voicing Albert Wesker in the "Resident Evil" franchise, is listed as the voice actor for a character known Weskham Armaugh. Alexa Kahn, known for voicing Sivir in "League of Legends" and for providing additional voices for "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII," is listed for voicing a character named Crowe.

Emily Roya O'Brien, who voiced Eryn in "Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor," is listed as voicing a character named Y'Shtola. According to the report, this comes as a surprise given that Y'Shtola is originally a character from "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn."

Y'Shtola is known for being that game's mascot and is often the character used in crossover games. While this might suggest "Final Fantasy XIV" and "Final Fantasy XV" may be connected, it is speculated that the Y'Shtola in "Final Fantasy XV" will be a different version, similar to how almost every game in the franchise has a character named Cid or a chocobo named Boko.

The report also points out that Square-Enix has released several images of unidentified characters and it is entirely possible that Crow, Y'Shtola and Weskham may be some of these.

It is also reported that IMDB can be edited by just about anyone, hinting that the information may be false. However, given that DC Douglas has already confirmed he is indeed working on "Final Fantasy XV," there is some level of credence to the IMDB listing.

"Final Fantasy XV" is scheduled to be released sometime this year for the PS4 and Xbox One.
