The Windows edition of "Final Fantasy XV" will support Xbox One cross-play.

According to the Microsoft store listing of "Final Fantasy XV," the Windows edition offers cross-play with players of Xbox One. The cross-play will only be available in the "Final Fantasy XV" version of the game, however. The Windows edition also features other Xbox-related bonuses — achievements, Xbox Live presence and cloud saves.

The Steam Personal Computer (PC) version of the game, on the other hand, will not have the same feature. Rather, the Steam version will have the Steam workshop for modifications (mods) as a bonus. According to PC Gamer, the modifications for the upcoming game will be created in such a way that the gaming experience of each player will be different and structured uniquely. The Steam version will also have the Steam Workshop support, which will help players share and add mods.

"Final Fantasy XV" was developed and published by Square Enix. It is the fifteenth installment in the "Final Fantasy" series. The game is set in the world of Eos, which is divided into three empires — Lucis, Accordo and Niflheim. Players will be taking the role of Noctis Lucis Caelum, the heir to the Lucian throne.

King Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII, Noctis' father died following an invasion led by Niflheim on the evening the two empires were supposed to have a peace talk. Noctis will travel across the world of Eos alongside Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia and Prompto Argentum to retrieve the Crystal, a magical artifact gifted to the Caelum dynasty which was stolen by Niflheim on the night his father died. They would come across Niflheim's chancellor Ardyn Izunia who will later be revealed as the one who had stolen the Crystal with the intention of destroying it as well as killing the True King — Noctis.

The Windows edition of "Final Fantasy XV" is set to release on March 6. It is currently available for preorder.
