'Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia' DLC comes at a hefty price

Fans of the "Fire Emblem" series have a lot of reasons to be happy this year. With the success of its new titles for both the 3DS and the mobile gaming industry, the classic role-playing and strategy series is planning to add more titles under its roster. Their upcoming game, "Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia," is doing just that despite not having been released yet. However, fans are a bit skeptical about the recently announced downloadable content (DLC) that will come out together with their latest game.

"Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia" is just days away from its release and because of this, Nintendo have announced several contents that will be coming out for the title.

The first DLC is called the "Fledgling Warrior Pack," it will be available for purchase on the day of game's release. The package will come with three contents and are ideal for beginners. It will contain two new maps, a new dungeon, and more items to collect.

The second DLC is called the "Uncharted Heroes Pack." It will feature a new dungeon, two battle maps, and stronger warriors. The third DLC, "Lost Altars Pack," will contain mysterious dungeons. These dungeons will have the ability to promote heroes to exclusive classes that are not included in the main game. The third DLC will also boast of 10 pieces of content, perfect for training the team to become heroes. These two packages will be launched at the same time on May 25.

The fourth DLC will come with four contents, and is dubbed as the "Rise of the Deliverance Pack." It's a special pack that will include brand new stories and new support conversation with the characters. It will also consist of untold stories about Valentia before the story began. The content will be released in June 1.

The Last DLC is called the "Cipher Companions Pack." It will include two pieces of content and will give players the opportunity to recruit heroes from the "Fire Emblem Cipher" card game. The date of its release has yet to be revealed, so players who are interested should be on the lookout.

According to the official website, the five DLC packs coming out for the title has a total of 22 pieces of content. These packs can be purchased separately, or can be sold in a "Season Pass" which the players can buy for 30% less.

Despite having the season pass at 30% saving, fans are still skeptical about the pricing of the contents. The DLC will be priced at $44.99 in the United States and £39.99 in the United Kingdom, whereas the game itself only retails for $39.99 and £34.99 in these countries, respectively. It completely shows that these prices make the DLC more expensive than the actual game itself.

"Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia" will be released on May 19 for the 3DS.
