The newest "James Bond" movie kicks off with the release of the first trailer for "Spectre." But unlike the teasers from the past "Bond" films, the one released over the weekend does not feature explosive stunts and action-packed sequences. Instead, it offers several clues on what the movie is all about. 

British actor Daniel Craig reprises his role as the world's most popular spy for the fourth time to investigate a disturbing organization. 

Based on the trailer, 007 is haunted by his past when he receives a cryptic message with a burnt photograph. This prompts him to look into an organization called SPECTRE, or the Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion. 

At the beginning of the trailer, Bond's trusted assistant and former spy Eve Moneypenny (Naomie Harris) hands him a package filled with his "personal effects" that were recovered from the burned ruins of the house bombed by Raoul Silva (Javier Bardem) in the previous "James Bond" film installment "Skyfall." The package contains a burnt photograph of a man, a boy, and an unrecognizable individual, as well as a temporary certificate of guardianship. 

Then the trailer proceeds with the agent entering a seemingly abandoned house located in the mountains, which could possibly be his childhood home. Bond can also be seen showing a man a ring with a cryptic symbol on it. There is also a group of men having a secret meeting, one of them calling the popular agent James.

Sam Mendez helmed his second Bond film after the blockbuster hit "Skyfall" film back in 2012. 

Craig will be joined by Christopher Waltz as Franz Oberhauser, Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx, and 50-year-old Monica Bellucci as Lucia Sciarra, considered as the oldest actress to assume the role of a "Bond girl." Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw will also reprise their roles as M and Q in the new film. 

"James Bond: SPECTRE" is slated to be released in theaters on Nov. 6.
