'Five Night at Freddy's: Sister Location' news: Scott Cawthon promises a lot of goodies in the extras

Game creator Scott Cawthon talked about the possible release date of the upcoming "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" as a response to fan queries.

Fans of "Five Nights at Freddy's" asked Cawthon if he is willing to release the "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" earlier than expected just like what he did with the past installments of the indie point-and-click horror survival video game.

The game creator revealed that he is not planning to release the game even if he manages to finish developing it before the expected date.

"No more early release dates. Instead, from now on, if I finish the game early then I'll spend the extra time polishing the game and adding features," Cawthon posted on the Steam forum.

He probably decided to stop surprise releases for the next games under his wing because his latest "Five Nights at Freddy's" game, "Five Nights at Freddy's World," came out with a number of glitches and missing features. This caused him to pull it out from Steam and re-release it for free via GameJolt.

Cawthon posted in a separate thread that he will no longer unveil constant updates about the development of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" to keep the mystery of the game.

"I would enjoy posting more of the development process, but I fear it would take some of the fun and mystery out of the game when it's released. I'm planning on including a lot more material in the extras about the development process for this game," he explained.

Meanwhile, a fan shared what he thinks was the reason why Cawthon revealed that he is currently working on a new "Five Nights at Freddy's" game earlier than expected.

"Scott was forced to announce this game nearly 5 months earlier because someone dug through the image in Notepad++ and found this. At that point, it was very obvious what the game will be," the fan said via Reddit.
