The countdown to the release of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location" continues, and fans are expecting to hear more details from game developer Scott Cawthon.

Cawthon posted a date on Scottgames.com which fans believe is the official release date of the highly anticipated spin-off of the popular independent point-and-click survival horror game. The post simply said "10-7-16" with the creepy image of a clown with a hallow pair of eyes and broken jaw. However, it did not reveal much about the game.

The game developer also posted the first trailer the upcoming spin-off game on Steam, but the listing revealed that the game will be available on Oct. 8 instead.

Cawthon has yet to clarify the reason for the conflicting release dates of "Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location." However, he revealed that he will no longer come up with a second trailer for the game despite his initial plans.

"I just wanted to make a short announcement that despite my earlier plans to do so, I will not be creating a second trailer for Sister Location. I feel that if I show any more of the game than I already have, then it will spoil a lot of the surprises in the game," the game developer wrote in his update on the Steam Community page. "I know some of you will be upset by this, but my decision is that the rest of this game needs to be kept quiet until October 7th. For that reason, no Trailer 2."

While details about the release date are still unclear, the Steam listing mentioned that the game will work properly on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista, or Windows 10 operating system. It also needs 2 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon or equivalent, and a minimum of 1GB RAM with 1GB available storage space.
