Game designer Scott Cawthon has been working on "Five Night at Freddy's World" for quite a while now. The game is a spinoff of his mega popular indie point-and-click survival horror series "Five Nights at Freddy's" but unlike the games in the franchise, it looks in the least bit scary. In fact, it's terrifyingly cute.

Cawthon just released the trailer for the upcoming installment, highlighting the changes to expect in it. "They've stalked you. They've scared you. They've haunted you," these words read, fading in and out on a black background as the camera zooms in on the masks of the animatronics. "But now... they're cute," the clip then said.

This was the cue for adorable versions of Freddy Frazbear and the gang to appear complete with upbeat, sunshiny music and a burst of colors as the animatronics, no longer nightmarish, now sing and perform their heart out to defeat the game's real monsters. This is what "Five Nights at Freddy's World" apparently looks like.

There are bright laser explosions, a colorful glimmer of blue and glittered light, giant rotating musical notes and a torrent of cupcakes with a pair of eyes being used by the characters to attack the enemies. Indeed, Cawthon stayed true to his promise that "Five Nights at Freddy's World" will by no means be a horror game.

In the title, players can choose from a massive lineup of characters that fans of the franchise since the beginning will likely recognize. The likes of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and basically every character in the game's universe one could think of will be in the game as well as these characters' incarnations.

The minimalist, colorful feel of the art in "Five Nights at Freddy's World" also contribute to its departure from its predecessors. Nonetheless, Cawthon is prepared to treat his fans with something new, leaving them as judge if the upcoming RPG, which will be out sometime next year, is a mere spinoff or a full-fledged successor.
