"Fixer Upper" host, Chip Gaines, fights back via Twitter against his ex-business partners in Magnolia Realty regarding the $1-million lawsuit filed against him in Waco, Texas. Gaines relays in his tweet how his former partners failed to talk to him before filing the lawsuit. 

He tweeted on Friday, "Fyi: Ive had the same cell # 15 yrs.. same email for 20 yrs. No one called or emailed? 4 years later "friends" reach out via lawsuit.. humm."

Gaines' former partners, John L. Lewis and Richard L. Clark, filed a lawsuit against the "Fixer Upper" star last week accusing him of fraud. Lewis and Clark claim that a few days prior to announcing their hit show on HGTV, "Fixer Upper," Gaines convinced them to sell their shares in their firm, Magnolia Real Estate Company. 

According to People, court documents state that Lewis and Clark sold their shares to Gaines for $2,500 each on May 6, 2013. In addition to their $1-million demand, the two want their ownership stakes reinstated.

The company founded by, Lewis, Clark, and Gaines, started their operations in 2007 out of Waco. Currently, Magnolia Realty operates in most of the major cities in Texas and has a little less than 100 real estate agents employed. 

In a statement given to USA Today, Jordan Mayfield, Gaines' lawyer, expresses his confidence in proving the innocence of his client. Mayfield adds, "It is disappointing to see people try to take advantage of the hard work and success of Chip and Joanna Gaines."

"Fixer Upper" on HGTV stars Gaines and his wife, Joanna, as they help their clients find and remodel their homes. With the success of their show, HGTV plans on creating a spinoff series about Joanna and how she forms the ideas seen on "Fixer Upper."
