Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs news: Twigs never saw any 'Twilight' movies

Fans of FKA Twigs and Robert Pattinson have been on wedding watch since it was revealed earlier this year that the 27-year old singer and the 29-year-old actor have gotten engaged after seven months of dating. Since they started dating last year, Pattinson could be seen cheering on his girlfriend from the sidelines as he accompanied her to her performances, and he is clearly a fan of her work. But is FKA — real name Tahliah Debrett Barnett — a fan of Pattinson's movies?

In a new interview with the Sunday Times magazine, Barnett was asked if she has ever seen Pattinson in the "Twilight" movies. She simply answered, "No."

Pattinson was catapulted to fame when he starred as Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" movies based on the book franchise of the same title. He played the role of a vampire who falls in love with a human teenage girl named Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart). Stewart and Pattinson started dating in 2009 and broke up in July 2012 after news broke that the actress was allegedly having an affair with her "Snow White and the Huntsmen" director Rupert Sanders.

Although they have broken up for quite some time now, some loyal "Twilight" fans have taken to social media to bully Barnett, and she told Sunday Times that even one of her fans was attacked a number of times online.

The singer said that she struggled to cope when trolls started attacking a fan of hers, who uploaded a picture of himself and a friend who was dying of cancer. Barnett's fan wrote that his friend would often listen to the singer's music to cheer herself up during difficult times. But just a few seconds after posting, some Twitter users started cyberbullying the fan and even made some disparaging comments about his ailing friend.

The "Pendulum" hitmaker said, "They all started attacking her. Within 20 seconds it was just like monkey, ugly, die, [expletive], all this stuff on his feed. It broke my heart… this lady who is really sick and is probably going to die."

Barnett, who is of English, Spanish, and Jamaican descent, said that her parents have prepared her for the racist comments and that she is aware that being different could mean that some people will treat her differently.

On her relationship, she has previously said that being with Pattinson outweighs all the negative things that she's been through. She told the magazine that despite dating a famous person, she has yet to understand the concept of fame.

"I don't understand what the levels [of fame] are. I'm a bit naïve…I don't engage in that world, even with myself, even with my own career," she said.
