The Olympics Games 2004 will start in a few days in Greece, churches and Christian agencies are joining hands to reach out to Athens.

Currently, 58 local churches are working together with organisations such as AMG International, International Bible Society, Athletes in Action, Southern Baptists, Jesus Film, and RBC Ministries for Flame 2004, an effort to reach the Greek people and those attending the Olympic Games with the Gospel.

AMG International's Cosmo Vision Center is the headquarters for many ministries who are joining together in FLAME 2004.

Through music, testimonies from athletes, drama, mime, all sorts of event, Flame 2004 hopes to bring the gospel not only to the Greeks, but also to all the visitors to Greece. The team will be handing out something special to the passer-by - a bottle of water on which an invitation to AMG's bookstore will be included. There they will be able to receive either a free copy of the Olympic New Testament, or a copy of the special edition of the Jesus Film.

The Jesus Film Project has prepared a special edition of the story of Christ on video and DVD called, "More Than Gold". It is produced in 40 different languages. The organisers plans to supply 30,000 DVDs and videos to a global audience.

Testimonies from Christian athletes like pro-basketball player David Robinson, U-S Gymnast Amanda Borden, and others are featured before the story of Christ is shown. These athletes tell how knowing Jesus is greater then winning any metal and greater than any amount of gold.
