Will there be a chance for Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) to discover the real events that happened to him in Earth One?

After The Reverse Flash (Tom Cavanagh) forced several events to happen in the past that were not supposed to, a brand new timeline was made which resulted to the creation of Earth-Two. But reports claim that The Flash and his allies will find a way to discover what originally happened to them in the past when The CW series returns for season 2.

When asked by the Entertainment Weekly if there is a chance for fans to see the original timeline next season, series executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that anything is possible.

"Never say never, especially on a show about time travel," the series exec shared.

In the DC Comics Universe's "The Flash of Two Worlds," Barry meets Jay Garrick, his counterpart as The Flash in Earth-Two.  Viewers are speculating that the TV show will pick up the story since Jay's helmet was seen in the final episode of season 1. Earth-Two's The Flash is believed to join Barry in season 2.

Meanwhile, Cavanagh's role seems to have met its end in "The Flash" season 1 finale, but the actor is confirmed to be returning to the series next season. Fans will recall that Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) sacrificed himself when he realized that his death could mean that the Reverse Flash a.k.a. Eobard Thawne/ fake Dr. Wells will cease to exist if Eddie will not have any offspring, .

On the other hand, Kreisberg also mentioned that new villains will be introduced when "The Flash" returns next season, including Doctor Alchemy and the Mirror Master. However, there are no reports yet regarding the casting additions in the show.
