Amir Khan has yet to get a fight for 2016. However, it seems he is trying to get the goat of almost anyone he comes across with, and the target once again is retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

According to BoxingScene.com, Khan reveals that Mayweather was mocking him at the time. Both were seated near each other and per the Briton, Mayweather started it all by asking him if Garcia was the guy who defeated him.

If Mayweather indeed said it, he was referring to the 2012 fight wherein Khan lost.

Khan replied by asking him why he was ducking him. On two occasions, Mayweather shunned the British southpaw, and that was when an alleged shouting match followed.

After that confrontation at the Garcia vs. Guerrero match, Khan went on a rampage, as reported by TMZ, claiming that Mayweather is afraid of him and may never ever want to fight him.

The thing is Mayweather has retired, and it will take something big to draw him out for another fight. Could Khan be that person for the sake of shutting him up?

Mayweather may be too wise to be easily goated out into a fight. From another angle, Khan's actions seem more of an act of desperation other than anything else.

The undefeated American is likely to hit back at Khan soon and such will turn into a back-and-forth trash talking which may eventually turn into nothing. And the eventual loser of it all will still be Khan since he is technically having a hard time booking a fight.

Even though he is a mandatory challenger to Danny Garcia, Sky Sports mentions that this is one fight that may not appeal to Khan.

Kell Brook was another potential opponent, but it seems that Khan is not interested due to the lack of earnings. This despite the fact that Brook and manager Eddie Hearn have agreed to a 60-40 split.

Khan has placed himself in a circle where he considers himself among the elite. The problem is that fans and fighters alike are not necessarily on the same page with him.
