Will Floyd Mayweather Jr. ever fight Manny Pacquiao?

This is one question which many want to be answered and while Mayweather Jr. had previously said that he would be willing to meet the fighting Filipino congressman, many are still left in doubt.

Among the people who doubt Mayweather's sincerity to fight Pacquiao is Bob Arum. Mayweather made it clear that he does not want to deal with Arum and that if Pacquiao truly wanted to fight him, he would drop the boxing promoter.

Talks about a Mayweather-Pacquiao dream bout rose to a feverish pitch after the Filipino congressman out of Saranggani province scored a unanimous decision over previously undefeated boxer Chris Algieri. Since then however, everything has been touch and go, as the world awaits if a dream match would truly materialize on May 2, 2015.

Mayweather Covering Up? Mayweather had remained silent for quite some time now, mostly each time Pacquiao's name would be mentioned among his future opponents. However, Mayweather broke his silence after clamor for him and the boxing world to agree on the potential dream match.

While Mayweather did verbally say he is open to the match, many doubt it.

Aside from Arum, popular boxing icons like Brandon Rios, Timothy Bradley, Marvin Hagler, Oscar Dela Hoya and Juan Manuel Marquez have doubts on whether Mayweather would truly face off against the 37-year-old champion.

Will It Ever Happen? From the looks of it, the Mayweather-Pacquiao would need a miracle to materialize. Mayweather has his demands, being the undefeated fighter and has said that he deserves to run the show.

Various reasons ranging from drug testing and revenue sharing of the fight. But it seems that each time Pacquiao and company agrees to Mayweather's demands, a new stipulation crops up from Mayweather.

So will this dream bout ever happen? Not until Mayweather makes up his mind with regards to his demands.

As most people say, "It will only be official once we see both fighters on the ring".
