Floyd Mayweather rumors: 'Money' hits back at haters who want to see him fight on

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is not exactly the type who would get 100% backing from boxing fans as he is characterized as someone who is boring to fight.

This, of course, points to the way he boxes with his opponents, using an analytic approach that most of the time sees him waiting and then hitting when the opening is there. Such was evident when he fought Manny Pacquiao which led many to say that he loved to run rather than get it on.

His fight with Pacquiao was not the first time, though. He has been hit for such against other fighters. Yet he manages to draw in money to which he now hits back at his haters and says why they want him to fight if he is a boring fighter?

"If I'm so boring, why everybody taking shots at me from every different way? But I love it. I like when they take shots at me. I'm no longer competing, but like I said before, I made such an impact in the sports world and the entertainment world that my name will live on forever," via Boxing News 24.

With regard to a return to the ring, he once again emphasizes that he has no reason to. He doesn't have the urge to come out of retirement (again) and put on his boxing gloves.

Gennady Golovkin was mentioned as a reason but based on the opinion of the critics, the Kazakh knockout artist lacks the pay-per-view (PPV) appeal that could lure Mayweather out of retirement at this point.

Only one man may come close to doing that, Manny Pacquiao. Despite that disappointing May fight, many still believe a rematch could happen.

Incidentally, Pacquiao is set to retire himself after his April 9 joust with Timothy Bradley Jr. While he stressed it is his last one, many believe that a rematch with the undefeated American boxer could still materialize.
