Will it be the last dance for Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao this coming May 2, 2015?

Trainer Freddie Roach feels that there may nothing more to prove especially if Manny Pacquiao pulls off a win at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas against favorite Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather is a 2-1 favorite.

Despite those odds, Roach seems unfazed. He is confident that they have the perfect plan to deal Mayweather his first boxing career loss.

Should their plan prove to be effective, Roach doesn't see any reason for Pacquiao to fight any further. He doesn't see any potential fighter that can draw heavy interest from the fans unless of course a rematch between Mayweather and Pacquiao suddenly materializes.

A win over Mayweather may prove to be the crowning glory of Pacquiao's career. And with no rematch clause in play, Roach believes that Pacquiao would be best focusing on his political career. That includes rumored plans of Pacquiao running for the Philippine presidency in 2016.

Win or lose, Pacquiao stands to be $120 million richer after the May 2 bout. Mayweather will walk away with $180 million, larger chunk of the fight purse.

All this is of course speaking ahead of what the results would be between Mayweather and Pacquiao this coming weekend. Critics are divided on the outcome despite Mayweather being a favorite to come out on top.

So with that said, is Roach hinting as well that Amir Khan's wish may be doused?

Amir Khan is hoping to get a match against either Pacquiao or Mayweather after he faces Chris Algieri on May 29 in New York. He would have to come out and win convincingly of course to be even considered though he has had previous talks with the Pacquiao camp.
