Players hardly ever see a top-selling game with female players since most of the famous athletes, especially in basketball or soccer, are male. "Football Manager 18" is one of them, but a modder recently decided to change things up a bit. Instead of being able to manage male players and teams, players can try managing female teams.

A modder, fan, and player of the "Football Manager" series, who goes by the name FMGuru, just recently uploaded a "Women's Database V1.0" on the Steam Workshop page. The mod works mainly for "Football Manager 18."

When playing the game with FMGuru's mod, players can draft from a whopping pool of 3,500 female players within the United Kingdom. There are also 60 elite players from around the world. As for the leagues, there are mainly four divisions of professional women's soccer. FMGuru even added the national team for some countries including Wales, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland.

Interestingly enough, fans of the "Football Manager" would already know about FMGuru and how he has always made mods for the previous titles in the franchise to include women. In previous mods, he would only feature leagues within a nation and use their rules for it.

"I have done a few women's databases in the past but always just by creating a nation and using nation rules to create leagues," reads FMGuru's post. "For the first time, I have attempted to create a whole new database almost from scratch. All men have been removed from the official database and women will start as free agents."

As the name of the mod already implies and as FMGuru mentions, this is only the first version. Fans can expect to see more updates in the future. As for what it will contain, there will be more players to complete more teams.
