Ever since "For Honor" was introduced at last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, gamers have been anticipating the upcoming fast-paced hack and slash game by Ubisoft.

Ubisoft recently put out new screenshots for the game to give fans an idea how challenging it is to create realistic movements for the characters and how awesome it will look when it all comes together.

This makes it all the more exciting to wait for the arrival of "For Honor." The lack of updates about the game makes it difficult to idle away the hours but the prospect of a stellar finished product has everyone pressing on.

Ubisoft dazzled legions of fans during its E3 2015 presentation of "For Honor." The highly anticipated game boasts its own innovative combat system dubbed Art of Battle.

According to the game studio, Art of Battle "lets you feel the power of every strike, the strength of every impact, and the weight of the weapon in your hand." Art of Battle simply means that "For Honor" warriors have full control of their weapon.

"So if I'm holding my sword to my left and you attack me on my left side, I'm going to block it. But if you attack me from the right or from above, I'm going to get hit," creative director Jason Vandenberghe explained.

"It takes time to change my stance, so I need to anticipate what you're going to do," he went on to say. It is important that players examine his or her opponent's stance. "This is what you would be doing in a real fight," Vandenberghe continued.

"For Honor" urges players to give his or her loyalty of one of three factions:

The first one is called Chosen, a samurai army looking to conquer a new home after failing to find a new one. The group is led by the powerful warrior Warden, who will do everything to defend his home and people.

This home the Chosen is after happens to be the one belonging to the Legions, a group of knights led by Warden who will do everything to protect their land.

This group, in turn, stole their present home thousands of years ago from the third and last "For Honor" faction, the Viking army known as Warborn led by the "heavy, bold and brutal" Raider.

"For Honor" has no release date yet, but is now on pre-order for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
