Former POTUS Barack Obama and wife Michelle pay surprise visits to few schools in D.C.

As the holiday spirit heats up, former US President Barack Obama visits a few schools around Washington D.C. to share happiness and gifts. Obama even puts on a Santa hat to cheer up the young ones.

Last Thursday, Obama with her wife and former First Lady Michelle Obama paid the Jelleff Club a surprise visit. Obama spent some time with over 50 middle school students, giving out gifts and a few jokes. Obama also had a long conversation with the kids hearing and asking about their own stories.

Obama also posted a picture of him with the kids on Twitter, showing they are all smiles. Obama rocked a Santa hat paired with a leather jacket to give a Cool Santa Clause vibe.

Obama captioned the photo with, "There's no better time than the holiday season to reach out and give back to our communities. Great to hear from young people at the Boys & Girls Club in D.C. today."

A video posted by Obama's communication director, Katie Hill, showed the former President being treated like a celebrity as he walks in. Children are seen shaking his hands and taking photos as he carries a sack full of gifts. Hill then wrote the hashtag "ObamaAndKids."

According to the reports, Obama and Michelle had four other surprise visits to different schools in D.C. According to Also, last month, Obama together with Michelle and the prominent Prince Harry surprised a high school in Chicago with gifts.
