"Fortnite: Battle Royale" -- the Epic Games made multi-shooter that many have come to love on their gaming consoles -- is now expanding its territories and conquering the mobile platform to spread its adrenaline-inducing gameplay straight to your little screens -- anywhere at any time you desire.

In Epic Games recent announcement last March 8, it confirmed that the popular shooting game is indeed dropping to the mobile gaming scene -- first on the iOS and eventually to the Android community.

It has also already organized an iOS-only invite event, which starts shortly from now. And starting on March 12, interested users can now sign up for the exclusive event. After this, a similar event will come for Android users, albeit in a few months' time.

In line with the announcement, devices that will be supporting the upcoming port are the following -- iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, iPad Mini 4, Pro, or Air 2, and the newest iPhone installments. Similarly, these devices should come with iOS 11 on board in order to download the game once it drops on the Apple App Store.

Aside from this, "Fortnite: Battle Royale's" new mobile port will come with cross-platform play with currently supported consoles such as the PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, and soon enough on the Android. In addition to this, Gamespot says that the game will most likely be free just like its version on other platforms, and that, similarly, microtransactions will be supported in-game (skins, and other items).

In a Twitter post, Epic's PR Manager Nick Chester gave clarification on the mobile port's cross-platform capabilities, saying that users on the mobile platform would be able to play with their friends on the PS4, PC, and others. Meanwhile, console players will not be required to team up with players on the mobile version.

"If a mobile player wants to play with their friend on PS4 or PC, cool! If a PS4 player wants to play with a PC player, cool! They should be able to," Chester addressed.

If you can't wait for the mobile version to drop, "Fortnite: Battle Royale" is currently available for purchase Xbox One, PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4.
