Popular shooter game "Fortnite" is now in its third season and there are a lot of big updates planned ahead. As there are several limited-time modes that have been introduced to the game, developer Epic is rolling out a new kind of battle-royale mode thanks to the latest update. Save the World players also get a new item and a new hero as well as other general patches to the game.

The new mode, called Teams of 20, is exactly as named. Five teams of 20 players each will go against each other in the game to be the last team standing. It is similar to the previous 50v50 mode they introduced back in December but players can assume that this new mode will be quite more organized. The 50v50 mode usually became too one-sided too quickly.

According to patch notes, here is what players can expect for the new game mode. The map will show teammates as green. The player count will display the number of remaining players in the game for each team. To make things more interesting, the game mode will also increase spawn rates of chests and boxes.

Treasure chests will not be spawned at a 60% to 80% chance from previously 50% to 70%. On the other hand, ammo boxes from a 65% to 80% spawn rate will also be increased to 75% to 90%. Supply drops will always be in groups of five wherein the regular battle royale drops would vary, per Storm Circle.

As for the Save the World mode, players will get to try out a new item and a new hero. The item is a Hoverboard Boost Pad that is mainly an accessory to the Hoverboard which makes it and the player fly. On the other hand, Wukong is the new hero who is the Mythic Version of the New Year Lunar Berserk Soldier, per GameSpot.

Aside from all of these, there are a number of bug fixes made as well. Players can check these and the full patch notes on the official website.
