Although it has already been confirmed that "Forza Motorsport 6" will indeed be coming out this year, not much has been said about the details and gameplay of Microsoft's much-hyped racing sim. However, in the recently-concluded annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, Microsoft decided to take off the lid and showcase its latest driver and racing simulator. Together with developer Turn 10 Studios, fans and participants were treated to how the upcoming title will look like in terms of design and gameplay.

New features to "Forza Motorsport 6" include the dynamic weather feature, which would allow players to experience almost real-world track and course driving in simulated weather conditions. The developers designed the game to stick as closely to real-life physics as possible, and driver reactions will vary depending on the weather over the course – track slicks can happen when there is rain and sleet, or the vehicle's added traction will work wonders in extremely sunny days.

In addition, "Forza Motorsport 6" is the first title in the franchise to feature female racing drivers. Players will have the option to choose from a variety of drivers with different skill sets, and there are a number of both male and female race car drivers to choose from. Speaking at this year's E3 convention, Turn 10 Studios creative Bill Giese told game observer and fan site IGN that they want both men and women to enjoy the sport.

Giese said, "For the first time, yes, in 'Forza Motorsport 6 you will be able to change your driver, and you'll be able to choose between a male or female driver."

The creative director also added that the newest racing sim in the series took a page out off the book of the highly-regarded "Forza Horizon 2."

Giese stated, "The great thing about Horizon is that it's fun, open-world and really approachable. It's bombastic. And even this past week we've seen I can't tell you how many female players who've said they got in [to the Xbox booth] to see 'Forza'. So it's important for us that we embrace that and let those players be able to express themselves [in Forza Motorsport 6]."
