Four charged over Dewsbury teen's death

Three teenagers and a man were appearing in court on Thursday, charged with murdering an Asian youth who was beaten to death in a West Yorkshire park.

Amar Aslam, 17, was discovered on Sunday night in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury.

West Yorkshire Police said he had been subjected to a "sustained and vicious beating" and died from head injuries.

The three 15-year-old youths and 20 year-old man have been charged with Amar's murder and robbery. They were appearing at Dewsbury Magistrates Court.

Three other people arrested over the killing - another 15-year-old and two boys - have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
