Four Kornerz Receives Two Music Award Nods

|PIC1|UK-based Christian RnB band Four Kornerz has received nominations for the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards and the Urban Music Awards (UMA).

The two events, which represent a wide spectrum of UK music, allow fans to go online to register their vote for their favourite artist.

Commenting on this industry recognition, lead singer Deji says: "We are so excited to be nominated for these two prestigious awards. Every independent UK artist has aspirations of awards like the MOBOs. It's been four years of diligent hard work and moments like this spur you on."

With a top-five Contemporary Christian chart album, high-profile "Soulectric Tour" and key T-Shirt endorsements in place, Four Kornerz consists of four sibling brothers, Deji, TJ, Vidal, and Daniel.

The band is nearing the end of its Summer Soulectric Tour which has seen them travel nationally all over the UK and taking in stops over Europe including Slovakia where the band played to thousands at Slovakia's largest Christian music festival, Campfest.

The four brothers are shortly to travel to Holland where they will headline Amsterdam's Gospelfest 2007.

Four Kornerz have also been awarded a key spot to perform at this year's Decibel Performing Arts Showcase in Birmingham on 5 September. The event, funded and organised by the Arts Council England, selects some of the most promising UK acts representing primarily African, Caribbean and Asian art forms and gives the opportunity to showcase work to hundreds of influential promoters, festival organisers, music venue programmers and tour schedulers from the UK and abroad.
