The TV sequel to Steven Spielberg's critically acclaimed film "Minority Report" is finally taking shape. Recently, Fox announced the names of the actors who will join the cast for the new sci-fi TV series.

One of the first cast members that was announced by the production company is actress Laura Regan. She will portray the role of Agatha, the kindhearted lead precog who has the best capability to see the future. Regan is known for portraying the role of Jennifer on "Mad Men."

Agatha's identical twin brothers Dash and Arthur, on the other hand, will be portrayed by "Inside Llewelyn Davis" actor Stark Sands.

The role of Agatha was originally portrayed by Samantha Morton, while Arthur and Dash were both portrayed by Matthew Dickman.

Meanwhile, "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" star Meagan Good has been tapped to portray the lead female role in the series. Good will give life to the character Lara Vega, an ordinary detective who gets involved with Dash. Lara and Dash might have a lot of things going on with each other in the series. Dash, who wants to put all the precog duties behind him to live a life as a "normal" human being, might need Lara's help in finding his real purpose in life.

Regan, Sands, and Good will join Li Jun Li in the series. He will take on the role of a CSI technician when filming starts for the TV adaptation of the hit sci-fi movie. All four of them will work with Daniel London, who will reprise his role as Wally the Caretaker from the original movie that was shown back in 2002.

Slash Film reported that the "Minority Report" TV series will feature the events that take place 10 years after the end of the original movie. The pilot will be directed by "Shameless" director Mark Mylod while the script will be written by Max Borenstein of "Godzilla."

The official release date for the pilot episode of the new series is still unannounced.
